Yup, that's the blanket excuse for both Progressives and Libertarians.
What am I getting at, you may ask?
I was astonished to learn from my friends that a Dem scandal had escaped my notice.
A pretty frikken huge one too, at that...
An anti-gun legislator, one Leland Yee, who had long lowed with the likes of Diane Feinstein and others about the EVULS of what they broadly defined as 'assault weapons' which in their peabrained reckoning means anything with a forward handhold or grip more often than not, found himself outed, his miserable secrets exposed.
The same night I found some of my convictions challenged. Yanno, what use is all this I do when forced far beyond my ability ebb and crash?
Legitimate point, but one I happen to respectfully disagree with. One life can mean all the difference.
Such as Mr. Yee, who plowed the way for not just REAL assault weapons, but also OVER THE SHOULDER ROCKER LAUNCHERS to come into the United States of America from radical Muslim sects.
That's frikken brilliant, isn't it?
I've talked about the corruption with many a Dem and to my disgust, many of them were of the mind that 'corruption is just the way things go. It's just a way of life for politicians. We should just let them do their thing until they get caught.' and so on and so forth. In other words, their stance is the same as their stance on passing out condoms in High School and prison (Pseudonyms as far as I'm concerned) because 'The kids and prisoners will have sex like bunnies one way or another, we might as well make it easy for them!'
It's the same mindset Libertarians have for narcotics. 'Lots of people smoke pot, meth, inject heroin or pop Ecstacy, so we might as well make it legal! Besides, alcohol is worse for you and it's legal!' Firstly, this is erroneous thinking based on professors and 'scientists' who are probably guilty of toking doobies themselves. Each of those has a medical problem. With marijuana, it has PERMANENT apathy-related mental issues and is no better for your lungs than cigarettes. With meth, just take a look at this and tell me it isn't bad for you. With heroin... apart from the addictive nature and how screwed up it makes your brain, how appealing does choking to death on your own vomit sound? As far as Ecstacy is concerned, how does a lifetime of neurological damage sound? How about a heart attack at age 30? I hold that alcohol is as bad, but because its abuse is more DETECTABLE, it shall remain legal.
No, I say.
NO I goddamned well say.
No compromise with the wicked.
Hold their feet to the fire and get them to stop dirtying our government and poisoning our children.
**DISCLAIMER*
Since I know some people will take this the wrong way (Though if they get butthurt by the connection of wickedness with drugs, then what's that say about them? >_>) I would like to add that I mean the dealers of drugs. When it comes to the political corruption aspect though, anyone who gets their undies in a bunch over that one should have their right to vote suspended until they get a goddamned clue.

Lone Candle Artist Needed!
Hello friends! After nearly a decade of being the dedicated, outstanding and wonderful artist of Lone Candle, my friend, Egardn4, has had to step off the ride in order to work the hours necessary to support his family. As such, I'm putting out a call to artists who would be willing to join me on this journey! If you're familiar with Lone Candle, that's ideal, but newcomers are welcome too. I can't afford to pay much (for now) but $50 per page is the best I can do for the time being. It will improve with time, but one page per two weeks is a good start! In the future, I'll be able to offer more funds and anyone who joins me on this journey now, I'll boost even more when able ^_^ So if you or anyone you know would like some extra money for a page of Lone Candle every two weeks, please let me know! Thank you all for reading and considering this, friends. :3 Lone Candle shall continue! -Zucca

I have been spellbound...
Ladies, gentlemen...
I have been completely spellbound.
The game on Steam called 'The Pirate's Fate' has utterly captured my heart.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/553480/The_Pirates_Fate/
I cannot urge you enough to pick it up. It has a host of twists and turns and has an emotional core to it that moved me to tears. Mila and the crew's struggles become yours as you explore the different possibilities... Searching for the ideal turn of events that will bring about the peace that the ship's crew are desperate to see.
And change is central to the plot...
You'll NEED numerous playthroughs to explore the facets of these amazing characters
