10 Facts About Me

1) Aries Passadar, star character of my comic Lone Candle, began as a simple experiment in roleplaying women characters. She had much more depth than I anticipated and she took off in her own direction.

2) I survived a fall from 50 feet onto sharp, ice covered rocks from a ski-lift when I was a child. Not only survived, but had no scratch on me.

3) I love the live-action Transformers movies and unapologetically so.

4) I recently purchased an extensive survival kit that I added on to. I could survive in the woods for up to three months come any disaster.

5) I have Patrick Stewart's autograph from when I saw him perform his one-man rendition of 'A Christmas Carol'.

6) I have sunk almost 200 hours into the game 'FTL', attempting to unlock all the challenges and ships, but mostly just playing with self-imposed challenges.

7) My favorite sci-fi universes are (In no particular order): Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune, Warhammer 40,000, Outlaw Star, Transformers and Fallout.

8) Unlike most kids who saw the antics of Calvin and Hobbes as a guidebook, I took them as cautionary tales when I was young. Especially since I was right up there with Calvin in the imagination department.

9) I have always believed that power does not corrupt, but that the corrupt are *drawn* to power. Those men who would reject power are probably the most qualified to lead others.

10) I still keep several stuffed animals with me on my bed, not for childish reasons, but because I have a tendency to hug in my sleep. ^_^;

Wanting to take this question seriously, I watched at random, a video from both of these men. Razorfist, like Game Theory, has very clever visual cues and editing and he really *gets* voice acting, I notice. Provost is intelligent and clear-spoken and makes up for a lack of flashy edits with a very solid clearly impromptu, one-take performance. Personally, I couldn't just pick one and have subscribed to both of them ^_^;

2) What got you started on DeviantArt?

Back in 2004, I was prompted by friends to check out DA because many friends, including those I'd made on the website 'Beast Wars International', had an account here. It was a real different beast back in the day, but the basics were all the same. It was around that time that I started writing pretty seriously. My friends all agreed that my talents were being wasted on fanfiction, so I went soulsearching to make my own story. Nine years hence... Lone Candle was born.

Dethklok, no contest. They took over their own tribute band when they realized they were in a bit of a sell-out mode.

Cookie. Because I can have a cookie by itself, but the cream is dependent upon the cookie. Besides, who doesn't like chocolate?

5) Is MLP: FiM really a cultural phenomena due to transmedia approach – telling multiple stories and create new characters worlds through video games, comics, fan-art, web series, etc – and its transcendence of its intended demographic?

Considering the number of people its effected and how far-spread the notion of 'Bronyism' is and how deeply its effected the people its touched, I believe it is a safe bet that bronies will exist long after the series finale has aired and that they will carry the lessons about harmony and friendship into their lives and pay it forward.

6) What kind of genre-switching film (i.e. This Is The End, From Dusk Till Dawn, etc.) would like to see made?

I would like to see a movie's first half follow how an apocalypse happens, then the second half show a group of military peacekeepers be put through all kinds of horror and stress as they try to keep the pieces of civilization they've been able to save intact.

7) What is best in life?

The moments spent with family and/or friends. Those moments that make you smile in recollection, yet never make you *hunger* for them since you know more are already due.

8) Do you prefer scrambled eggs cooked with or without sausages?

Sausages. Oh yes... Love me some meat!

9) You ask a genie to grant you, your family, and your descendants unlimited riches for eternity. Do you splurge all that wealth or do you invest it?

There would be no point in investing it if it's both eternal and unlimited. But I would be *responsible* in spending it. And if the IRS ever caught on, I would slip them a trillion to look the other way. Of course knowing this government, they've be back expecting another trillion the next month...

10) What film disappointed you the most?

Firestarter 2: Rekindled. What a pile of shit that was... I love the book and the movie 'Firestarter', which is a departure from Steven King's usual stuff. The movie did the book justice and when I heard there was a sequel, with Charlie McGee, heroine of the book and film, I was STOKED. Heh, no pun intended. What we got instead was a ridiculous pile of drek that was so divorced of its source material it could have been mistaken for an episode of The Outer Limits for all it had to do with Firestarter. The character was brunette (Charlie is blonde), John Rainbird is played by Malcolm McDowell (John Rainbird is a NAVAJO!!!), John Rainbird shouldn't have even been alive since he was burned to ashes by Charlie when he killed her father in the horse barn at the shop. Worst though, I hated that there wasn't any resolution to ANYTHING. It just kicked the ball along with the worst examples of sequel baiting I've ever seen.

7: Your boss approaches you while you're working and tells you that he's proud of all the hard work you've done. He presents you with a tax-free check for five thousand dollars as a token of appreciation for your efforts. Five thousand dollars you didn't have before! You tell your co-workers and they tell you the boss approached them too and gave them each a FIFTEEN thousand dollar bonus check. You also learn that if anyone doesn't cash their check, the whole thing goes bust and nobody gets the bonus money. Do you A: Take the check to the bank and revel that you have five thousand dollars more than you had before or B: Tear up the check and know some of your co-workers who don't put in nearly as much effort won't get undeserved rewards, leaving you however, without the money?

8: A small group of people with no claim to their property, but have made their home there for several generations are squatting and refuse any attempt to be moved and will resist any forceful attempt to the last. The area they're squatting in has resources that would greatly help millions of people and save lives. What do you do?

9: If you could get a developer to make any game you wanted, what would it be and who would make it?
