... and his rabid fans, if they care to listen.

Frankly, I give them more credit and a chance to listen and learn than their Golden Boy.

Save for one of course. One who I have been speaking to on the topic of the violence of ISIS and Islam.

So Obama was speaking to a bunch of Christians at the National Prayer Breakfast. What better time to bash Christianity and engage in a little false moral relativism by dredging up a defensive military campaign that's more than a millennia old? I'm talking of course about the oft-cited, more oft-misunderstood Crusades.

Let’s get one or two things out of the way. The Crusades were a defensive war started after almost 600 years of Saracen assaults against Christendom. These assaults resulted in the raping, murder and enslaving of at least one million Europeans.

Muslims sacked Rome and were at the gates of Paris and Vienna. Constantinople and the Byzantine Empire were besieged. Spain was conquered.  Thousands of churches, monasteries and nunneries had been pillaged and burnt. I wont speak of what was done to the nuns.

This was all done by successive Sultans who waged new wars of conquest to fulfill Mohamed’s commands. And yes, the Crusades were savage and atrocities were committed, that was the nature of war then even in the best of times.

But the Crusaders were incensed at the depredations the Saracen hordes had inflicted on Europe and on the pilgrims who were slaughtered and enslaved on the way to the Holy Lands. They weren’t in the mood to play nice. After 600 years of attack, they fought back. After 170 years of intermittent campaigns they left and went back to Europe.

The forces of Islam, however, continued to wage war continuously, both amongst themselves and on their neighbors. All commanded by their “Prophet” and the book they followed. And they continued to do so for the next 1,000 years right up to the present day.

I will not be shamed when someone mentions the Crusades in an effort to somehow downplay the Islamists continuing their unholy Jihad against civilization.

If they will not let up on the yoke of war, violence, enslavement and hatred, then I should prefer instead that we launch a new crusade. Except this time we win it.

Here’s a short video for Ogabe. If he can tear himself away from the golf club and his selfie mirror long enough, he may actually learn something.

OK...what about these crimes: markhumphrys.com/christianity.…
Rudolph J. Rummel estimates the Crusades killed 1 million innocent civilian men, women and children (not in combat)
Please explain that?
The point my friend is that we cannot blame one entire religion for the violence one sect causes because the same claim can be made of any religion, with Christianity being a prominent example.
