A very bold page that is very fitting for the creators original idea of telling a story with little dialogue. The dialogue is very well patterned, Aries slowly drawing the mother out with her questioning is well handled. The sudden outburst and stilted reply really adds to the air of mystery and raises the viewers interest. The sideways glances and shocked gexpressions drive home that the story has hit some new level of detail and the threats to Aries have gotten more subtle than a pile of ogres in the woods. The interior scene with its modest colors and quaint perspectives help keep the setting seemingly light and harmless, but the darker notions under the surface are slowly being shown and that is a hard feat to pull off with mostly visual cues.
