Aries enters the house of Erton, the pleasant lady of the house welcoming her in. Aries looks around, feeling like she's trapped in a home and garden magazine!

And tea! Volencia is loosely based on Britain. Tea is critically important to a good day!

This page keeps the main character and by extension the reader off put by how organized and innocous it appears. The clean look and familiar settings make Aries look like a huge oddball with her blue fur and giant sword. The mother figure seems so quiet and puttering that it would be hard to work out how much of her attitude is an act or is really a part of her personality. This is a good story telling technique to keep us wondering how this will play out and helps flesh out the mystery a little bit more. The tea set getting a whole panel is a nice touch, emphasizing the civility and displaying the artists ability to attempt a still life theme. Intriguing is the best watch word I would use for this page.

Poor Mrs. Favirsham, not only did she loose her daughter but also having to contend with having a noisy ghoul up in her attic.

An epic cookie if anyone gets the reference!

Noisy Eldritch Abomination, really.

Unless of course they're fat squirrels playing basketball instead...
