Description

Holy dialogue dump Batman!

More insight into a decidedly, increasingly disturbing mind.

Erton informs her that he means to *eat* her to dispose of her. The youth understanding that a larger force would show up and assume the 'ogres' responsible for the initiate merc's disappearance and kill them without a second thought. Children forever missing, ogres dead, town plunged into misery.

Why? Well, you'll find out.

Aries has a stroke of realization at his words, seeing the whole picture now at last as her detective training kicks in.

Erton, desperate to brag to *someone*, tells her what his plan is. (Yes, a little cliche, but bear with me!)

Aries though, having something up her sleeve, gives him the predatory smile that would become famous later in her career. The dark smile that would send tyrants and warlords alike into shivering fits.

We see the first step of Aries, as she's been built up to be, onto the path that will burn her into history.

This page is a great info dump on the viewer. The revelations of the plan show a very twisted sense of cleverness and motivation. The use of light and shadow keep that closed, basement atmosphere intact. The motions of the villain are great for displaying a sense of urgency and frustrated energy. I could see this guy pacing and jerking about in my minds eye. This is going to be interesting to see how this seies concludes now that we have more information to work with. The notion of eating someone to cover up a murder is greatly disturbing and makes for a rather jagged bit of writing in an otherwise smooth bit of storytelling.
